The kid broke his wrist

So my boy Tanner broke his wrist over the weekend while over at his loser dad's place. Broke it on Saturday, comes home on Sunday, goes to the doctor Monday and, yup, it's broken. I guess boys will be boys, but he's such a fragile little guy. In almost two decades of playing sports (including 8 years of football), I never broke a bone in my body. To this day, I've never broken a bone in my body. This kid is 11 and has already broken his wrist and his elbow. Maybe I shouldn't push him to play sports.

Working with computers might be good for him. Learn the internet and how things work. Then maybe one day he can end up selling hybrid displays, outdoor banner stands, and conference displays like me.

Outdoor Exhibits

If you need outdoor banner stands that will blow the socks off your competition, than look no further than my site!

Travis and Coraline

Seeing friends you haven't seen in a while is a good thing. Seing them two nights in a row is even better. Being part of a historic night for said friends is even better than that.
My friend Travis sacrificed 3 years of his life in making a wonderful bit of film that is Coraline. For once my mind wasn't on hybrid displays, or trade show exhibits, but rather taking my family out for a night they would never forget.
What a movie. Revolutionary. To think, it all started out in 7th grade when Trav built a road from his sand castle to mine on our beach retreat. From there we have built a relationship that will never die. I am proud of my friend. His talent never ceases to amaze me.

More SEO stuff

Well, I'm editing some more stuff for my Web site, this time for [my old web site]. I need some more links back to that site, like stuff pertaining to hybrid displays, or just to the main home page proper.
Hopefully we can get this sucker dialed in and get our rankings up in Google.

Editing Hell!!

So here I am editing our Web site and working on SEO stuff when my brother sends me an e-mail. It's his trailer for his movie, Gameshow and Tell, that he made about the rise and fall of gameshow contestants, namingly us and the other participants of VH-1's second season of World Series of Pop Culture.
At least this gives me a break from editing the copy about Banner Stands, Convention Displays, Custom Convention Displays, and the like.
Check out the hybrid displays at our site. They are cool!

The tradeshow display peddling battle

After meeting with my friends (and former colleagues) Ted and Kristin over a few of McMenamin's Finest and some grub, I learned that there is a ton I don't know about the Internet. Along with my growing knowledge about trade show displays and the like, I also have an even greater learning curve when it comes to the medium that helps me "Git R Dun."
It was great catching up with both of them and picking their brains about how to optimize the business and move on up the Google ladder legitimately.
I was also bummed to find out that McMenamin's switched their seasonal beer from the delicious Copper Moon to the somewhat more tart Scarecrow ESB. I guess it could have been worse...they could have switched to a Golden or something like that.
After a couple hours of listening to Ted spout off about SEO and backlinks, not to mention his wife and kids, I decide to then take some notes. His advice was incredible and is already helping me in my quest to get to the top of the Google list with my Web site, Shop For Exhibits. It's always good to keep friendships with those who know more than you about technical issues. It's also good to have a friend that is willing to share his knowledge...just as long as there are a few cold beers in it for him.

I have absolutley no problem obliging him!

The Advent of My Trade Show Display Retail Empire

Being a fan of the english language and loathing mathematical equations, I don't find myself writing as much as I should anymore. It used to be an outlet, like writing short stories and poetry...song lyrics and such. So when I got a new job working for a Web site that sells trade show displays, I figured it would be a good time to document my rise to prominence from the get go.
I'm three weeks late with my chronical, but better late than never. This business is going to be a part of my life...kinda like my family or watching old re-runs of Quantum Leap.
So why would you want to read my stories of peddling banner stands, pop-up displays and hybrid displays? Because I'm going to make it interesting enough. Or maybe I'll just use this blog as an electronic diary.

Who knows.
